Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R)

FMC Community Empowerment works in partnership with CCR&R of NE Iowa by funding a resource development coordinator to serve daycare providers and daycare centers in Floyd/Mitchell/Chickasaw County.

By providing resources, education and advocacy, CCR&R helps meet your community's need for affordable and accessible child care.

CCR&R provides a wide variety of services for parents, child care providers, employers, and community groups.

Services for the Child Care Provider:

  • CCR&R will assist providers with obtaining your provider registration or license
  • Education and traning to support professional and personal growth
  • Assistance with issues related to your child care business
  • Referral of families needing child care
  • Business and financial resources
  • Information on how to enroll in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
  • Access to professional development resources

Services for the Parent:

  • Information and consultation on available child care options and cost factors
  • Help on how to choose quality child care
  • Referrals to child care providers
  • Information on child care, child development, early childhood education and more
  • Advocacy and support in working with child care providers
  • Information on child care assistance and other family support services for income eligible families

Services for the Employer:

  • Enhanced employee referral programs
  • Technical support for exploring work and family issues or developing child care options
  • Information on child care availability and cost factors
  • Parent education services

Services for the Community:

  • Data crucial to understanding family needs, available services and gaps in the system
  • Forums to address local child care issues
  • Coordination of statewide child care programs and resources
  • Advocacy for providers, children and families
  • Information on child development, early childhood education, quality child care, and professional organizations.

Log onto www.neiowachildcare.org for an array of helpful information.  Through this site, visitors can view and print newsletters, available training information and dates, register for trainings, view video titles available through libraries and CCR&R offices, parents can do web referrals and much more.
