FMC Community Empowerment Board

Welcomes New Public Health Representative

When the FMC (Floyd-Mitchell-Chickasaw) Community Empowerment board holds its 2004 annual meeting Monday, July 19, Deb Freeman, RN, Mitchell County Public Health Director, will turn over her board position to Floyd CountyÕs Public Health Director.

Pat Zwanziger, RN, Advanced Registered Nurse Practioner, will assume her role on the Empowerment board, replacing Freeman, who just completed a one-year term.

Public health directors from Floyd, Mitchell, and Chickasaw Counties rotate their board position every year.   This is the second time Zwanziger will serve on the board.  Her term will last until June 30, 2005, at which time Chickasaw CountyÕs Public Health representative will serve on the board.

Freeman served on the Empowerment committee that successfully completed the stateÕs mandatory redesignation process for FMC Community Empowerment this past fall.
